SMARTROLL™ MP Low-Flow Kits and Accessories

Application

The Low-Flow Sampling equipment is used to direct the

flow of water past the sensors of the SMARTROLL MP

Instrument during purging and low-flow sample tests.

The seal between the instrument and the flow cell

prevents water oxygenation prior to analysis. The 3-

way intake valve can be used to divert flow for sample

collection. The anti-siphon check valve prevents back

flow at the outlet. The system accommodates 3/8" and

1/4" tubing, which is not included.

Low-Flow Kit Contents

The Low-Flow Kit contains all of the items in the Fittings

Kit and the Flow Cell Kit. The base plate is sold

seperately.

Fittings Kit Contents

l 3/8" NPT to 3/8" barbed adapter fittings (2)

l 3/8" NPT to 1/4" barbed adapter fittings (2)

l 3/8" cap plug (1)

l 3/8" and 1/4" check valve (1 each)

l 3/8" and 1/4" 3-way ball valve (1 each)

l Pipe thread tape

Flow Cell Kit Contents

l Flow Cell with removable end cap (installed with

O-ring and stainless steel sleeve)

l Ground spike

Base Plate Kit

l 12" x 12" PVC, with hardware

Set up

1. Select the NPT/adapter fitting that matches the tubing

size.

2. Apply tape to the adapter fittings and twist them into

the threaded holes on the flow cell cylinder. Tighten

until hand tight. Do not over tighten. Ensure that the

fittings do not protrude beyond the wall of the flow cell.

3. If you are using the 3-way valve, attach it to the intake

fitting (bottom) with a short piece of tubing.

4. If you are using the anti-siphon check valve, attach it

to the outlet fitting (top) with a short piece of tubing.

5. The arrow on the valve indicates the flow direction.

6. To provide stability, attach the flow cell to the base

plate with the screw that is provided. Alternately, you

can use the metal spike and secure it in the ground.
